Pax Hill Heritage Centre

One of Pax Hill’s unique attractions is its Heritage Centre. Officially opened in 1998, it contains a huge range of Scouting memorabilia and archives from Ballarat, Australia and around the world.

The memorabilia section contains woggles, metal badges, International and Event scarfs, Australian and International Jamboree badges, old belts and buckles, keyrings, old uniforms, framed Cub, Scout and Senior Scout proficiency badges pre New Design in the early 1970s.

The archive centre is full of books and historical information about scouting as collected by the scouting groups of the Ballarat and District region.

The heritage centre is worth a visit for anyone with an interest in history, design or scouting. Entry can be organised through the Museum Manager at the cost of a gold coin per visitor.
